Here is the recap: (superLOUD) Avril Lavigne has released a music video for her single "Wish You Were Here." The song is Lavigne's 3rd official single from her Goodbye Lullaby album, released in March. On twitter, Avril described the music video as "Simple but emotional. Raw and real. Stripped down." The video features a tearful Lavigne singing alone in an empty room, eventually moving on to her doing the same in a water-filled bathtub. In the tub, Avril's fully clothed (unfortunately), so apparently that's not what she means by "stripped down." I do agree that it's a simple, yet effective video that showcases the ballad well. |

The 19-year-old "Camp Rock" alum's YouTube posting gives a behind the scenes look at her ALMA Awards preparations including a snippet of a new song titled "Fix a Heart" while also seeing her talk about turning her life around and embracing a fresh start. Accompanying the video link tweet, Miss Lovato wrote, "Check out this amazing video!!! It is really sentimental to me and I wanted to share it with all of you:)" The video letter to her fans comes just as Demi's performance at the ALMA Awards aired on NBC – as she took the stage during the pre-taped special for a stirring bi-lingual rendition of her hit single "Skyscraper". Offering up a kind tweet of support while encouraging people to tune in to see Demi in action, ALMA host Eva Longoria posted, "See the most amazing performance by @ddlovato tonight on the #AlmaAwards at 8/7c on NBC! All acts who headlined festivals in the UK in 2011 are in the running for the awards – including Linkin Park, Pulp The Eagles and Prince – and the public have now been urged to vote for their favourite. Other categories in the awards include Best Breakthrough Artist, which has a shortlist including Other categories at the awards include Best Overseas Festival, Best New Festival, Best Toilets, Best Family Festival and Best Line Up. Winners will be announced at the UK Festival Awards ceremony which will take place at London's Roundhouse venue on Tuesday, 15 November. Speaking to The New York Post, a source close to the couple said "For weeks he's been trying to get out of the relationship. But she has been in denial about it." The couple have been dating on and off since 2009 and have been spotted together on several occasions, the Hollywood actress had also spent time with the NBL star's children from a previous relationship. The couple were last seen together in New York over the Labour Day weekend when Diaz flew into New York for a meal with Rodriguez. But according to the source the relationship is done for good "They have broken up before and got back together, and who knows if it may happen again. But I get the sense that it won't. He was losing interest and is ready to move on." Adding that their respective careers are the most important thing in their lives "They remain friends and it is amicable. They are career-minded professionals, and they continue to focus on their own priorities. He has had a number of injuries and he wants to stay focused on winning a world championship." Diaz was also recently seen out with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake but that was not a date, the pair were together for four years until their break up in 2007. | Danica Patrick: Concerns warranted Posted: 17 Sep 2011 05:43 AM PDT Danica Patrick doesn't understand why a fuss is being made over her expressing concerns about racing this weekend near a nuclear reactor crippled by the earthquake and tsunami in March. Patrick will take part in Indy Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi, 93 miles from the Fukushima-Dai-ichi nuclear plant, which leaked radiation after being severely damaged by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. She said she was worried about the radiation levels in the food and water and the possibilities of aftershocks. Patrick posted her only victory in the IndyCar series in Japan in 2008. "Having concerns about coming here is completely understandable," Patrick said Friday. "Now that I'm here, I've eaten the food, I go out running in the morning so I'm doing the things I normally do here and it seems like everything is fine." The quake damaged the 1½-mile oval at Twin Ring, so Sunday's race will be held instead on the recently repaved 14-turn road course. Just after Patrick and the rest of the drivers arrived on Thursday, the Motegi circuit was jolted by a strong 6.2 earthquake off Japan's northeastern coast that shook buildings at Motegi. Patrick said she's not the only one who has reservations about making the trip. "I know a lot of people are concerned, a lot of us looked at each other and said, 'Are you going to eat here? Did you eat sushi?' We've all asked those questions but it seems fine." Patrick sidestepped reports that other drivers, in particular Tony Kanaan, had criticized her for speaking out about traveling to Japan. "I didn't really see that," Patrick said. "I kind of heard something about it but don't know what was said." Sunday's race will be the last IndyCar series event in Japan. Mobilityland Corp., a wholly owned unit of Honda Motor Co., announced in February that due to the economic downturn, the 2011 race will be its last IndyCar race at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit. After the earthquake, IndyCar series officials did consider canceling the race but decided to go ahead after Honda officials moved the race to Motegi's road course while assuring IndyCar that travel to Japan was safe. Despite all of the commotion over her comments, Patrick said she will miss racing in Japan. "I will always have so many great memories of Motegi," Patrick said. "The people, the track, although we are on the road coarse this time, the food, the culture. You can tell the fans are really looking forward to this and are glad we are here." Sunday's race will play a crucial role in deciding this year's championship. Team Penske's Will Power won the Baltimore Grand Prix on Sept. 4 for his second straight victory and sixth of the season to move within five points of series leader Dario Franchitti with three races left. |

Pulp reformed for a run of festival shows across Europe this summer, including the Isle Of Wight Festival, Wireless, T in the Park, Reading and Leeds in the UK, and said they were spurred to reunite for their first shows since 2002 by the death of a friend who was close to the band. Singer Jarvis Cocker said: "I think [the death] had a lot to do with it. You suddenly realise you can't take things for granted."Guitarist Mark Webber added: "I always thought we'd do something together again eventually, but when he died, I realised we should maybe grasp that opportunity."
