Cheryl Cole ‘facing 3rd snub if make a big appearance film function is axed’

Posted: 09 Sep 2011 08:20 AM PDT

Cheryl Cole’s cameo in ‘What To Expect When You’re Expecting’ may be dropped as it is not integral to the movie, say movie bosses. After losing her spot as a judge in ‘The US X Factor’ in favour of Nicole Scherzinger and the British version against Tulisa Contostavlos, this is the third time the 28-year-old British singer may be snubbed.

According to Heat magazine, the ‘3 Words’ singer plays a telly talent judge who has to rate Cameron Diaz in the movie, to which she just says two words – “Um, no”. “Cheryl’s role means she has to give judgment on Cameron’s performance. She only says: ‘Um, no.’,” the Daily Star quoted an insider as saying.

“But there’s talk that even that could be cut. It’s not integral to the film, although everyone said she did a great job,” the insider stated. Another source said that it would be very embarrassing for Cole if her role is edited after all the rumpus in the media regarding the cameo.

Avril Lavigne insists this year's New York Fashion Week will be the best yet. The 26-year-old Canadian songstress is famed for her mix of edgy punk and girly glam, and regularly wows with her rock aesthetic. Her love of fashion saw the launch of her own clothing line, Abbey Dawn, three years ago.

Avril is preparing to show her new collection at New York Fashion Week this month, and the stunning star is excited at the prospect.  "I've had my line for three years now, and I really feel like this is the best season yet," she told The Huffington Post.

"It takes a while to tweak stuff to where I want it to be, but this season is the best yet. I have footwear, swimwear, eyewear, accessories, women and men's collections. I've done Fashion Week before, but this year it's going to be even better."Avril came up with the idea for a clothing line when she was 19-years-old. The singer says her music and fashion go hand-in-hand.

"After the release of my first album, I realised how much fashion was involved in my musical career," she explained. "With a lot of the designs, I try to tie in some of my lyrics and more musical elements."It was recently revealed that TV personality Kylie Jenner is set to make her New York Fashion Week debut on the Abbey Dawn runway on Monday.

The 13-year-old model-and-reality-TV-personality is famed for appearing on hit show Keeping Up With The Kardashians alongside half-sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian and the rest of their family. Kylie is said to have got the nod for the show thanks to her stepbrother, Brody Jenner, whose is Avril's boyfriend.

She tweeted directly to Levine, writing, “Hey @adamlevine, you can totally follow me on twitter if ya want… just um, throwing that out there. Collab one day? Heh.. Heh?! :D .”Levine has yet to respond to the tweet, and does not even follow Lovato’s page, according to Sugarscape. To his credit, though, he has been busy on his Twitter dishing out compleiments to ‘80s hit-makers Hall & Oates, even daring readers to “Write a song better than rich girl and I won't say s**t.”

Jessica Alba positively knows how to compose her first conceived feel extraordinary

It's tough being a big sister, especially when you've been The One and Only for three whole years. That's why my heart goes out to little Honor Marie Warren, whose mom, Jessica Alba, gave birth to her second daughter, Haven Garner Warren, just weeks ago. My daughter was 4 years old when my son was born, and while she definitely loved her little bro, the transition from Main Attraction to Yesterday's News wasn't exactly pretty.

Jessica Alba positively knows how to compose her first conceived feel extraordinary

So it made me smile to see Alba and her mom taking Honor out for a solo shopping trip at Century City Mall in Los Angeles yesterday. I know that parenting trick! It's called Hey, let's take you out for a special big girls only day, because even though there's this new person taking up all my time, Mommy still loves you!

Yup, I know that trick and I know it well. And let me tell you, anything goes on those older-sibling outings, as the shots of Alba, Honor, and Grandma prove (other pics, not shown, feature Honor with a balloon and sipping on a smoothie): Of course you can have a red balloon! Sure, we'll push you around in that fire truck cart thing-y! Whatever you want! It's your day!

Luckily, disposable income is not an issue for Alba. A word of warning to those of you from a slightly lower-than-Hollywood-star tax bracket: Don't set a pricey pattern! There was a kids' shoe boutique in our neighborhood when my daughter was having her big sister troubles, and yikes! Too bad about your college fund, we blew it all on toddler footwear. Seriously, her nickname for awhile was Imelda.

A 2008 film starring Julia Roberts is finally set to hit theaters. According to Entertainment Weekly, “Fireflies in the Garden” will open in the United States this fall. The film has been released in most other countries.

Julia Roberts 2008 Film To Be Released

“Fireflies in the Garden,” one of the first live-action movies Roberts filmed after “Oceans Twelve,” co-stars Ryan Reynolds and was first screened at the Berlin Film Festival in 2008. It will be self-released by the filmmakers October 12 in Los Angeles and New York.

The film was set to be released in the U.S., but progress was halted when the former production company shut down. It stars the 43-year-old Roberts as matriarch of a family “forced to cope with the consequences of a sudden tragedy,” Entertainment Weekly reported. Reynolds plays a famous romance novelist. Writer and director Dennis Lee told the press he was thrilled about the late release.

“I am so pleased our film will finally get a theatrical release in the U.S.,” he said in a statement. “Anyone familiar with our story knows the road to this moment has been paved with challenges. It’s not lost on me how much care and determination it took to bring ‘Fireflies’ to light.” According to producers, “Fireflies in the Garden” intends to expand following the first limited release.

What more is there to say, really. After all, this pretty pic of Beyoncé in a white two-piece speaks volumes. Taken while vacationing with her hubby, Jay-Z, in Croatia on Tuesday, the photo gives us our first real glimpse at the singer's baby bump since she proudly announced the happy news at the VMAs. (Take that, doubters!)

Dakoka Fanning’s UK stress commended

Dakota Fanning coped "very well" with her English accent in new film Now Is Good, her co-star Olivia Williams has said. The US star plays a terminally ill girl who makes a list of things she wants to do before dying, with Olivia and In America's Paddy Considine playing her parents. And Dakota's on-screen mum insisted the starlet's estuary English accent was up to scratch. "Dakota did very well, she got an accent coach – there's a big business in accent coaching these days," Olivia said.

Dakoka Fanning's UK stress commended

"(Accents) just aren't a big deal, it's part of the job. It's a shame that people find it so distracting."The Hanna star went on: "We do amazing levels of suspension of disbelief when we go to the theatre and even watch a movie, and yet if someone's accent is just a little bit off it snaps people out of their suspension of disbelief. It's very strange that people log onto that instead of that someone's flying. I just wish it weren't so, because there are lots of extraordinary performances being discounted at the first fence on the basis of something really trivial."

Brunette Olivia donned a blonde wig for Now Is Good – and was surprised at how the change made her feel. "It was a bit of a release, I've always been dark-haired and I've never had the courage to go blonde, so it was really fun just to whack on a wig and see what happened," she said. "I don't know whether I became a bit more sort of animated and flirty or people treated me in a way that was more animated and flirty but I suppose blondes do have more fun."

Danica Patrick wants to begin Cup job at Daytona 500

Posted: 09 Sep 2011 07:48 AM PDT

Danica Patrick thinks it would be nice if she got her NASCAR Sprint Cup career started at the Daytona 500. The IndyCar star is moving to NASCAR full time next season and will run a limited Cup schedule in a car owned by Tony Stewart. He expects her to struggle at most of the tracks where she'll race, making a Daytona debut even more attractive to her.

Danica Patrick wants to begin Cup job at Daytona 500

"I think it would be a good start," she told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday. "It would be nice if the Sprint Cup debut was at a track where I have the opportunity to finish well, especially given the idea that we're going to go to tracks that are going to be challenging and probably ones that I'll do the worst at, but I don't know yet."

Stewart, who was at an appearance with sponsor Office Depot in Richmond, said in a telephone interview that he has looked at having her run the sport's biggest race of the season, but hasn't decided yet if she will. He said he worked with Patrick in a two-car draft during a Nationwide series race at Daytona in July, and said "she ran really, really well all day there."Stewart has said that Patrick, who also will race full time in the Nationwide series in a car owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. next year, will drive in eight to 10 Cup races with an emphasis on learning. The complete schedule for the 2012 season has yet to be released.

"I think it's hard for anybody coming into this Cup series," he said. "I was intimidated the first time I raced in the Daytona 500. I went into that race just thinking about running laps."As an owner, he said, "it's my job to make sure we keep her goals attainable."Patrick sounds ready to do the same, especially since the plan is to have her race full time in the Cup series in 2013.

"I think the idea is to pick tracks that'll be really hard and that I'll need the most practice at, which is going to be really exciting as I'm lapped for the fifth time out there," she said. "But it will make it better for the next time I come back."Patrick, who was in town a day before the Nationwide series race to promote DRIVE4COPD.com, an awareness campaign for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, said she also does not know yet whether she will attempt to drive in the Indianapolis 500 next year.

"My world is quite complicated with sponsors, and sponsor conflicts and what colors and what people are on the sides of my car, and where I'm at and what I'm doing, and what engine manufacturers," she said. "That's all really complicated, and you know, there's a lot of things to look at and think about before we can know for sure if that's going to happen next year."
